Life Matters Psychologists - servicing Newcastle and Lake MacquarieLife Matters Psychologists is a private psychology practice based in Newcastle. Our rooms are centrally located at The Junction, enabling easy access whether you live in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie. We are Clinical Psychologists which means we have undertaken extra training at University level to be awarded a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree. We provide a diverse range of clinical psychological services aimed at assisting individuals, families, teams and organisations with their particular difficulties. We promote the well-being of people who come to see us by providing ethical, collaborative, high quality clinical services such as psychological assessments, report writing and evidence-based therapies. We have many years of experience in assessment of mental disorders and psychological difficulties as well as in their treatment. Special interests of our Psychologists include working with adults and adolescents with anxiety disorders, depression, grief, sexual abuse and adjustment difficulties, although this list is not exhaustive. See Clinical Services for more information on the type of difficulties and disorders we typically treat. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches, the most common include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Hypnosis. As well as providing therapy to individuals, we deliver quality, easily accessible services such as Employee Assistance Programs, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Work-Life Balance Workshops, and Psychological Safety Consulting. Further information on our Employee Assistance Program is available in our EAP Brochure. For our latest practice news you can download the March Newsletter or view online.
