At present, our appointment times are Monday to Friday 8am to 8.30pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm. To make an appointment at either of our locations, phone 4965 3530 and speak with our receptionist between 8am and 7pm.

Referrals or information can be faxed to us on 4965 3531 or posted to PO Box 434, The Junction NSW 2291.

If you would like an appointment with us you can come through a number of different pathways:

  1.  Phone our office directly and come as a private client.
  2.  Visit your G.P., Psychiatrist or Pediatrician, let them know how you are feeling and enquire about being referred under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (Better Access).  To come under this scheme you need to meet certain criteria and need a referral from your treating G.P., Psychiatrist or Pediatrician. For more information on the Medicare Benefits Scheme go to www.health.gov.au/mbsonline
  3. Come through the Victims of Crime Counselling Scheme.  To come under this scheme you need to be suffering psychological distress from being a victim of a crime.  You can contact the victims of crime bureau at www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/vs or 1800 069 054 or enquire with your solicitor to find out more and to enquire if you are eligible to receive counselling.
  4. Come through worker's compensation.  To receive psychological assessment or treatment under worker's compensation you need to be referred by your G.P., an insurance company, your employer or rehabilitation provider.

*We offer appointments Monday to Friday - 8am to 8.30pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm.  After hours appointments are available with Paula Wynn, Daniel Forrester, Katrina Bell and Bronwyn Shields.*

Fees (fees differ for seeing a clinical psychologist and a psychologist)

How much will it cost if I come without a G.P. referral as a private client?

For seeing a clinical psychologist it will cost you $120 to $150 per session if you are a private client.  We are registered with most private health funds so you might be entitled to a rebate through your fund.  Check with your fund and ask if you get money back for seeing a clinical psychologist.

For seeing a psychologist it will cost you $110 per session, and rebates may apply through your health fund.  Check whether you get money back for seeing a psychologist.

How much will it cost if I have a GP referral?

For seeing a clinical psychologist you will be required to pay our sessional fee which is $150 at your session, however you will receive $117.65 back through Medicare, so it will cost you only $32.35.

For seeing a psychologist you will be required to pay the sessional fee of $110 at your session, however you will receive $80.20 back through medicare,so it will cost you only $29.80.  Simply take the receipt you are given at your session to a Medicare office to get your money back for seeing either a clinical psychologist or a psychologist.

How much will it cost if I come through the other schemes? It will cost you nothing if you come through the Victims of Crime Counselling Scheme or Worker's Compensation.  However, you must be approved by these bodies (Victims Services or Insurance company, respectively) to receive counselling sessions before attending as they pay for your sessions.

Cancellation Fee Unfortunately we need to charge a cancellation fee if you do not attend an appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice (at least one working day). This is because there are usually people waiting to be seen and your appointment time could be allocated to someone else with enough notice.  Another reason is that our psychologists still need to be paid whether you attend or not.

*For your convenience we have eftpos facilities available*
