  • What: The Teen Behavioural and Mental Health Assessment Screener assesses for social and behavioural patterns in children such as aggression, defiance, hyperactivity, inattentiveness/distractibility, getting emotional, and fear/anxiety.  Why: This screener is useful for assessment of ADHD, oppositional behaviour/defiance, behavioural conduct problems, and childhood anxiety and depression.   How: The assessments in the Behavioural and Mental Health Screener can be completed online by the child’s parent/carer, their school teacher and themselves. Once all the assessments are completed, we will compile the results into a written report. The report offers diagnostic considerations for further investigation and suggestions for management in various environments, and recommendations for further assessment/intervention. We will then schedule a Feedback Session so that your treating psychologist can interpret the report findings. Rebates may be applied to this Feedback session if you have a current Mental Health Care Plan or Private Health Insurance. Who: Ages 13-17

    • social communication difficulties
    • inattentiveness/distractibility

    • ritual or repetitive behaviours

    • specific anxiety issues (e.g., phobias, separation anxiety, social anxiety, panic symptoms)

Which is why this Screener combines the Behavioural/Mental Health and ASD Screeners. The Screener is useful for assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioural conduct problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders.
