What: The Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI and PAI-A) assesses for a wide range of common mental health problems in teens and adults. Results provide information relevant for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and screening for personality dysfunction. Why: Completing a PAI or PAI-A helps with refining and fast tracking your psychology treatment planning by indicating personality traits and areas of concern. How: The PAI and PAI-A is completed online, you will be emailed the assessment links to complete within 48 hours of receiving payment. Set aside 45 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the assessment. Please indicate if you would like an adolescent or adult assessment. Why: This assessment helps with refining and fast tracking your psychology treatment planning by indicating personality disturbances in clients with complex needs. The MCMI is also a useful diagnostic tool for personality and other mental health disorders. How: The MCMI assessment is completed online, you will be emailed the assessment links to complete within 48 hours of receiving payment. Set aside 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the assessment. Results will be emailed to your treating psychologist to discuss at your next appointment. Who: Clients aged 18+ -
What: The Careering Ahead Assessment combines three different elements including, Career Skills, Interests and Values of an individual to provide holistic career advice. Why: This assessment is designed specifically to help teens and adults gain objective advice on their potential future career choices How: The Careering Ahead Assessment is completed online, depending on your age, you will be emailed the teen or adult assessment links to complete within 48 hours of receiving payment. Set aside 45 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the assessment. After completing the assessment, a detailed report will be emailed to you. An optional extra, is to book a Vocational Coaching session with our experienced Vocational Psychologist, to interpret the report and provide further recommendations. Who: Ages 15-18+ -
What: The Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Screener identifies an area of functioning around:- social cues and social communication difficulties,
- intense and obsessive interests,
- difficulties with change, needing things to be “just so”
- hyperactivity
- repetitive behaviour
- sensory sensitivities
- learning difficulties

What: The Weschler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT) is an achievement test and assesses an individual’s current level of academic functioning in specific areas such as reading, writing, language and math skills. Why: The outcome of taking this assessment is to provide insight into both strengths and barriers to achievement. The WIAT can aid in exploring Dyslexia as well as identifying giftedness. How: The WIAT is administered in person, during a 1-2 hour (depending on number of subsets completed) face to face appointment with our Assessment Facilitator. Some online assessments shall be provided to complete too. Check with your Private Health Insurance or NDIS funding for Self or Plan Managed if you are covered for rebates. Unfortunately Cognitive Assessments are not eligible for Medicare rebates. Who: Ages 6-18+ -
What: The Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) is used to assess cognitive ability (general thinking and reasoning skills - IQ). Why: The objective of the assessment is to understand whether or not an individual is gifted, as well as to determine their cognitive strengths and weaknesses. A cognitive assessment may assist in explaining why an individual may be having difficulties at school and with learning. A cognitive assessment may form part of a comprehensive assessment for certain childhood diagnoses including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability and Specific Learning Disorders. How: The WAIS is conducted in a 2 hour face to face appointment with our Assessment Facilitator. We allow time for breaks in between. Some online assessments shall be provided to complete too. Check with your Private Health Insurance or NDIS funding for Self or Plan Managed if you are covered for rebates. Unfortunately, Cognitive Assessments are not eligible for Medicare rebates. What: An assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is used to assess and diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder for children. The Assessments are designed to measure specific symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across a number of environments. Why: An outcome of this assessment would be a report detailing if a diagnosis and severity of Autism Spectrum Disorder is appropriate. This report may be instrumental in securing NDIS funding. How: The ASD Assessment involves completion of some relevant measures by the child's parent and teacher (where applicable), a 2 hour structured diagnostic observation of the child (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule [ADOS]), and a 3 hour diagnostic interview with the child's parents (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised [ADI-R]). Taken together these assessments represent the current gold-standard for the diagnosis of ASD in children. In many cases it may be prudent to complete online assessments as screening measures before investing a formal diagnostic ADOS/ADI-R Assessment. These assessments will determine the need for further investigation and are useful collateral information for a diagnosis. Therefore, prior to the assessment, a number of relevant ASD measures will be emailed to be completed online by the parent/carer and teacher on behalf of the client. Rebates may be applied to your appointment session times if the client has a current Mental Health Care Plan or Private Health Insurance. Who: Ages 5-12. -
What: The ADHD Assessment is an assessment for diagnosing ADHD for adults. Why: This assessment can be used to provide a diagnosis of ADHD in adults and/or provide a basis for a referral to a psychiatrist for a further assessment and treatment. How: The ADHD assessment is conducted in a 2 hour face to face (or online) clinical interview with one of our experienced Psychologists. During the assessment session the psychologist will obtain a history of the client so it is useful to bring in any previous relevant psychiatric/medical reports and school reports to this session. Prior to the assessment, relevant measures will be emailed to the client to be completed online. Additionally, some collateral information will be required to be completed by somebody who knows you well. A written letter will be provided to your GP with the diagnosis and outcomes of the assessment. Rebates may be applied to your appointment session if you have a current Mental Health Care Plan or Private Health Insurance. Who: Adults 18+ -
What: The NEO PI is designed to assess personality in the domains of neuroticism, extraversion, openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness. Referred to as the Big Five personality factors. Why: This assessment can be used for treatment planning and/or occupational assessments. How: The NEO-PI assessment is completed online, you will be emailed the assessment links to complete within 48 hours of receiving payment. Set aside 45 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the assessment. Results will be emailed to your treating psychologist to discuss at your next appointment. Who: Clients aged 18+ -
What: The Gottman Relationship Checker scores couples strengths and challenges. Questions contain content relating to friendship, intimacy, emotions, conflict, values, and trust, as well as parenting, housework, finances, individual areas of concern, and more. Why: This assessment is completed to either gain insight for couples relationship maintenance, or can assist with couples relationships with significant emotional disconnection. How: The Gottman Relationship Checker is completed by both couples, online. After completing the assessment, it is mandatory for a Post Assessment Session with our experienced Couples Psychologist, so they can interpret the report and provide detailed clinical feedback and a suggested treatment plan with specific recommendations for intervention. What: The ADHD Assessment is an assessment for diagnosing ADHD for children and teens. Why: This assessment can be used to provide a diagnosis of ADHD and/or provide a basis for a referral to a paediatrician for a further assessment and treatment. How: The ADHD assessment involves completion of some relevant measures by the child's parent/carer, teacher and where applicable themselves, a 2.5 hour face to face appointment, which includes a 2 hour clinical diagnostic interview, and a brief 30 minute cognitive assessment. During this session, the psychologist will obtain a history of the client, so it is useful to bring in any previous relevant psychiatric/medical reports and school reports relating to the client to this session. In many cases it may be prudent to complete online assessments as screening measures before investing a formal diagnostic ADHD Assessment. These assessments will determine the need for further investigation and are useful collateral information for a diagnosis. Therefore, prior to the face to face assessment, a number of relevant ADHD measures will be emailed to be completed online by the parent/carer and teacher on behalf of the client and if required by the client too. A written letter will be provided to the client's GP with the diagnosis and outcomes of the assessment.
