Employee Assistance Programs across Newcastle & the Hunter

EAP SERVICES

Supporting the wellbeing of your people

A healthy workplace relies on healthy people. Our EAP gives employees and their immediate families confidential access to professional psychological support for personal or work-related issues.

At Life Matters, registered psychologists provide timely, evidence-based help for stress, anxiety, relationship problems, workplace challenges and major life changes in a safe, confidential setting. We support organisations across Newcastle, the Hunter and Australia via secure Telehealth.

Why choose us as your EAP provider?

Choosing an EAP provider is about more than simply offering counselling. Organisations want confidence that support will be available when employees need it most.

Life Matters offers:

Our team-based approach helps ensure continuity of care and allows us to match employees with psychologists whose experience best suits their individual needs wherever possible.

How do employees access their EAP?

Like with many other mental health services, people choose to reach out for support in different ways at different times. Some use their EAP proactively to manage ongoing wellbeing, while others engage the service when in crisis or facing a challenging time in their lives. Any level of engagement is ok.

Confidential support employees can trust

Your team is made up of a diverse bunch of people with their own unique needs and challenges. Our EAPs are designed to be flexible and responsive by providing professional services for a range of issues, whether directly work-related or not.

Confidentiality matters

Confidentiality is one of the foundations of an effective EAP

Information shared during EAP appointments remains confidential between the employee and their psychologist, except where disclosure is required by law or there is a serious and immediate risk of harm.

Organisations receive agreed reporting on overall service utilisation where appropriate, but individual clinical information is never shared without the employee's consent.

This allows employees to seek support with confidence while helping organisations understand how their EAP is being used.

Flexible appointment options

Employees can access support in the way that best suits their circumstances.

Life Matters offers:

  • In-person appointments

  • Secure Telehealth consultations

  • Telephone appointments where appropriate

Flexible delivery helps employees access support sooner while reducing barriers created by location, travel or work commitments.
